Project details

We study inflammation in organoids to assess innate immune responses in the context of different cell types in a tissue. Organoids are self-organized 3D structures that recapitulate important aspects of cell ensembles that interact in a tissue. Yet, they are amenable to manipulation and observation by advanced cell biology methods.

To team up with other research groups in Bonn interested in organoids, we have helped establish the Bonn Organoid Club https://www.uni-bonn.de/en/research-and-teaching/research-profile/transdisciplinary-research-areas/tra-3-life-and-health/research
