New Publication: Nanobodies dismantle post-pyroptotic ASC specks and counteract inflammation in vivo

Camelid-derived antibodies to fight harmful inflammation

Using camelid-derived single-domain antibodies (VHH or nanobody) targeting the adaptor protein ASC, our team has recentlydemonstrated the role of post-pyroptotic ASC specks in the development ofpro-inflammatory diseases. VHHASC disrupt post-pyroptoticspecks – that is, either inside pyroptotic cells or once released from dyingcells – and prevent the unwanted perpetuation of inflammation that theytrigger.
