Benedikt studied biochemistry at the Technical University of Munich. After spending his last three semesters abroad in Tokyo (University of Agricultureand Technology), Milan (Università Vita-Salute San Raffaele) and Utrecht(Universiteit Utrecht), he returned to Munich to join Felix Meissner’s research group of “Experimental Systems Immunology” at the Max Planck Institute of Biochemistry as a PhD student. In 2021, he followed the group to the III in his hometown of Bonn, where he continues his research at the Department of “Systems Immunology and Proteomics”.
