Anushka joined our team in winter 2021 to support our lab in the proteomics Facility as a leading technician. He is responsible for the maintenance of the Mass-spec laboratory, optimisation of biochemical and proteomic workflows, data documentation and organisational tasks. Anushka is a trained biology laboratory assistant (BTA) and began his professional career at the University Hospital Bonn in 2008. He expanded his professional spectrum by studying chemistry with a focus on materials science at the Bonn-Rhein-Sieg University of Applied Sciences from 2011-2016. Starting as a student assistant at Deutsche Nanoschicht GmbH (a BASF holding company),he was hired as a planning assistant for the production of superconductors using chemical coating technologies. 2020 Together with a team of dedicated student assistants, he processed blood, gargle and swab samples from SARS-CoV-2infected and long-COVID patients for the SARS-CoV-2 research of the COVIMMUNE consortium. From May 2023 on, Anushka is supporting the Translational Proteomics Core Facility at the University Hospital Bonn.
